Anaïs Nin wrote that our life shrinks or expands in proportion to our courage. Shaan means courage in zapotec, coraje in spanish. The word derives from latin “cor” wich means "heart". I like to think that life shrinks or expands in proportion to our hearth, in proportion to how much hearth we put on it. The technique of leaving the thread outside the piece is as labiorious as this.
